Sermon Title: “Big Enough”
Pastor: Linda Maifair
Scriptures: Psalm 8:3-4

Synopsis: Our God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — is too complex, too big, for us to fully comprehend or explain. But he is willing to reveal and make clear to us anything we really need to understand to know him better. How big is our God? Bigger than anything else. Bigger than everything else. Big enough. Big enough in power. Big enough in wisdom. Big enough in mercy and grace. Big enough in love.

Sermon Title: “Two Words”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: Psalm 57

Synopsis: Join us on this Labor Day weekend as we explore the two words which can so often times change our perspective about ourselves, others, the world around us and even God. Saying these words and reflecting on them can change everything in our lives. Do you know these two words and do you use them.

Sermon Title: “That One Thing”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: Genesis 22:1-18

Synopsis: Do you think of yourself as an open minded or closed-minded person? What if you heard a voice telling you to sacrifice your son. What would you do? DO you think Abraham believed God would intervene and spare his son’s life? Why do you think God did this? Was it to test Abraham’s faithfulness?

Are there any areas of your life which you hesitate to allow God to work? When you think about it from an eternal perspective, could you see why God may “interfere” in your life for your greater good and the greater good of others? Join us as we look once again at Abraham’s life and God’s request to allow us to allow him to touch every area of our lives.

Sermon Title: “Understanding The Bigger Picture”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: Genesis 15:1-6

Synopsis: God’s plans are so much bigger than the ones you and I have made. In fact we don’t fit God into our plans, we fit ourselves into God’s plans. God has a plan. It is to build a nation that is in rhythm with Him and to become a light to all nations. As we learn today, Abraham did not have children. It was a curse in that day not to have children. Abraham wanted God to bless him with children. But God had this bigger plan, to build a nation. God uses Abra-ham in His plan to build not only a family (for Abraham) but this incredible nation. God is not a genie or a vending machine to assist us with our plans. He is way bigger than that according to the scriptures. So it wasn’t about Abraham, it was about God using Abraham to bring about His plan. The same is true with us as we relate to Jesus. If we are going to follow Jesus, we need to fit into His plan and not visa versa. We need to go to God to seek His plans not seek God out to bless our plans.
