Pastor Doug Miller comes to us with deep central Pennsylvania roots. He is a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School and Messiah College. Upon graduation from Messiah, Doug worked for eight years in various administrative positions (HR, Purchasing, Internal Sales, etc) for an electronic filter manufacturer in Mechanicsburg. In 1994, he accepted a call to pastor the West York Church of the Brethren. During his time there he completed his masters work in Divinity and Counseling at the Evangelical School of Theology. After 16 years, Doug left West York and returned to industry. In 2011, he began working for a fibers recycling company in York, fulfilling various administrative needs (HR, Supply Chain, etc.) At about the same time, the Wolgamuth congregation called him to a permanent part-time pastor’s position.
In his spare time, Doug enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Julie, have been married for twenty-eight years. The couple have two adult children: Collin is twenty-three and a graduate of PSU-Harrisburg; Janelle is twenty-two and completing her final semester at Messiah University. Additionally, Doug enjoys sports, reading and finance. Feel free to stop in and see Doug at the office most Tuesday and Thursday mornings, or call him and set up a time for him to visit.
