Sermon from 18 June 2023

Sermon Title: “Father’s Day – Keeping the Door Open”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: Genesis 1:1

Synopsis: It is amazing how much we learn about God in one verse. But in the Genesis 1:1 we read about God as creator, redeemer, sustainer and Father. On this Father’s Day Sunday we will look at God as our heavenly Father. A pretty tough act for our own dads to follow, but a picture perfect Father for the rest of us to emulate.

Sermon from 11 June 2023

Sermon Title: “Numbered Days”
Pastor: Linda Maifair
Scriptures: Philippians 1:20-26

Synopsis: A message not about dying but about living. How, in light of our human mortality, and our Christian belief in eternal life through Christ, we should LIVE like we’re dying. LIVE like dying doesn’t matter. And LIVE like we’re never going to die. Resting in the hope and comfort of knowing that although our days are “numbered,” the number of our days, both before and after death, is in the powerful, faithful, trustworthy hands of a good and loving God.

Sermon from 04 June 2023

Sermon Title: “Soul Care”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: Mark 1:4-10, John 3:27-31

Synopsis: We concluded our series on how to take good care of your soul. This last week we will look at John the Baptist who stood as a stellar example of giving what he could. In our own lives, often times the fear of loss wars against our souls and our happiness. But when we live with open hands and open hearts we increase our ability to help others and increase our own happiness. The value of a life is not in how much we preserve, it is in how much we can give away.

Sermon from 21 May 2023

Sermon Title: “I Surrender All”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: Romans 12:1-2

Synopsis: The title of a very old but truly meaningful song to many but beyond the song there is a powerful message to all of us about how we are to live our lives. Join us for the first of three sermons about how not to be a person you do not want to be. By looking at the title, the first point is obvious.

Sermon from 14 May 2023

Sermon Title: “Mom: Supermodels, Artist, Travel Agents”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: Hebrews 11:23-28

Synopsis: Our moms can mean many different things to each of us. I am fortunate to have a lot of very good and positive memories of my mother. She certainly was self-sacrificing for her family up until her death. Yet not everyone has the same memories of their mom as I do. However, scripture tells us we are to honor our mothers. The gave us life, they many times did the best they could with their circumstances and made sacrifices that may have gone unnoticed. Join us on Mother’s Day, as we remember our moms and those special ladies in our lives who may-be step in when mom could not be there or be at her best.
