Sermon Title: “Three Shifts (Are Your Hands Open?)”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: 1 Timothy 6: 16-19

Synopsis: We were created to live generously! When we do, we can experience a new level of joy and freedom. How do we become the kind of people who are generous with their time, energy, and resources? There are three mindset shifts related to our resources that will equip us to live life with open hands.

Sermon Title: “Do Something!”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: James 2:14-26

Synopsis: Keep your faith tank on full by doing something with it for others. You get MORE faith as you live your faith out. People who keep their faith on full are making it a habit to put their faith into action and serve others. They get invested. They may find something out of their comfort zone and dig in. We have to put ourselves in places where we allow our faith to be tested to grow. Because if you don’t use it, you’ll lose it. What are you doing with your faith? How are you using your faith?

Sermon from 25 February 2024

Sermon Title: “Christ Centered Relationships”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: John 10:10

Synopsis: People who keep their faith on full are invested in the lives of others around them and prioritize Christ-centered relationships. Surround yourself with people who will help you up when you slip, create a pretend-free zone, and carry your burdens with you – and who you can do the same for. Finding these friends is as simple as ABC!

Sermon from 18 February 2024

Sermon Title: “Running on Empty”
Pastor: Linda Maifair
Scriptures: Psalm 23, John 4:5-10

Synopsis: In the 23rd Psalm, David praises the Lord, his Shepherd, who fills his cup of blessings to overflowing. In the Gospels, Jesus, who calls himself The Good Shepherd who lays down his life for the sheep, tells the Samaritan woman at the well that if she knew who he is and asked him to do it, he would give her endless, limitless springs of living water. These promises were not just for David or for that woman, they were for all who trust in God and believe in Jesus Christ. So, why do we feel so empty? Why are our cups (our lives, our hearts, our souls) not filled to overflowing as God promises and intends for us? Lent should be a time of reflection and repentance, a time to journey with Jesus toward the cross, and to prepare to obediently take up our own crosses and follow him. Perhaps a good way to begin is by asking God to empty our cups (our lives, our hearts, our souls) of anything that is getting in the way of our relationship with him and asking him to prepare us to be filled with the welcoming love of the Last Supper table, the forgiving love of the cross, the victorious love of the Resurrection, and the Jesus-like self-sacrificial love of discipleship he wants to overflow from us onto a world that is “running on empty.”
