Sermon from 26 April 2026

Sermon Title: “Surrender”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: I Corinthians 9:24-27
Synopsis:

The second “backward” command of Jesus deals with suffering. Maybe one of the most quoted passages of scripture in times of suffering is “when we are weak, He (God) is strong.” Most of us think it is humbling to look weak, yet scripture exhorts us time and again, when we lean on God for direction and strength He supplies our needs from His resources which are far greater than ours. We are going to try and secure a treadmill for this service to demonstrate how far we can get in our own power and where it leads us. Then we will look at what God has to offer as we lean on Him.
