Sermon from 06 September 2026

In the book of Romans, Paul talks about living at peace with one another. He is writing to a church that is very diverse and could easily become divided. Yet, he outlines several ways the church can work at peace and cooperation. He tells them not to tell others how to live but to show them. He talks also about hunting for righteousness in others not necessarily rightness by their own personal standard. Finally, he asks them to believe the best about others because wouldn’t they want others to believe the best about them? There are a million things that divide people but take a few moments to think about the one thing you (we, the church) can agree on. He says if you work at these things, you will notice a blessing coming into your life, harmony. Harmony doesn’t mean you live at peace but rather you live in peace with others.
