Synopsis: Life is messy. We know that pain, fear, and mistakes are frequent. What if we move from asking God to get us out of our messes to asking him to be in the mess with us?

Synopsis: When our backs are against the wall, we need to hear from God and be reminded of his love for us. By putting ourselves in a position to hear from God, it allows him to speak and be present in our lives.

Synopsis: When our backs are against the wall we can feel alone or even question if God cares about our situation. We ask God why? How could you do this to me? But God cares and is closer than you can imagine.

Synopsis: Today we start a new series about being in a place we have all been in, probably a lot more often than we’d like to admit. Places we feel like our back is against the wall. We don’t have the wisdom, courage or strength to figure out how to overcome what is going on in our lives. With no way to move forward. What do you do when your back’s against the wall? We will look in a Psalm to a 4-step process to move from our backs against the wall to where we are connecting deeply with God.

Synopsis: Happy New Year! This time of year, we not only reflect on the past year, but we make goals for the New Year. As we do that, we should pause and ask, are these resolutions coming from God? Are we seeking the things of this world or are we seeking to love others and serve the Lord enthusiastically? In the final sermon of the year, we’ll take a look at Paul’s letter to the Romans for some advice about what these resolutions should look like.
