Sermon Title: “Write It Down”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: Mark 12:28-34, Mark 1:1-1:28
Synopsis: We often read the Bible for application, inspiration, or direction. However, there are times when the author wants to simply point the reader to a big idea—an idea that fits with God’s grand story. In the Gospel of Mark, we read about Peter’s experience with Jesus that led Peter to believe in one big idea: the kingdom of God is near, and everyone is invited to participate.

Sermon Title: “The Story of Zachary”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: Luke 1:5-27
Synopsis: Do you remember as a child what it was like enduring those days before Christmas? It was the anticipation that made Christmas, Christmas. There’s always been a sense of anticipation around Christmas. The first Christmas was no different. Maybe that anticipation is needed. Maybe it’s what happens in that waiting that’s the most important.

Sermon from 29 November 2020

Sermon Title: “The Story of Ruth”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: Ruth
Synopsis: Do you remember as a child enduring those days before Christmas? That same dynamic is what made the first Christmas so extraordinary. For generations, men and women had been waiting anxiously for the birth of their Messiah, with no assurance that they would live to see him. They probably wondered, Is this really going to happen? After all, God has been silent for years.

Sermon from 22 November 2020

Sermon Title: “Faith”
Pastor: Doug Miller
Scriptures: Hebrews 12:2, 11:1-2 13-, Genesis 12:1-3, Luke 5:12
Synopsis:We all wonder. When we fix our eyes somewhere other than on God, wonder leads to wander. If you’ve wandered from the faith or are looking for the door, it’s not because of Jesus. You may think Christianity requires mind-numbing, experience-denying faith, but what if that’s not true?
